In His own words:
I am an honest guy and like to follow the rules. I actually like to carry a set of rules with me in the boat. I enjoy the camaraderie of the co-anglers in Pro/Ams. The competition is what drew me to APEX. I was excited to hear that I qualified and am looking forward to it as another level competition.
7 top-10 finishes, 3 AOY Team titles, a WON Bass Tournament Director, assisting with Bassmaster, fishing with Mike Folkestad, APEX qualification
Behind the angler:
As a youngster, Bill would ride his bike to Puddingstone Reservoir and fish all day. In high school, he was involved in football, wrestling, and baseball; however, after graduating he missed the competition. He thought fishing was fun and enjoyed it, so he quickly became involved in competitive fishing. His first draw partner was legendary Bass Fishing Hall of Famer Mike Folkestad at Lake Mojave.
In the boat:
Bill confesses that from A to Z, he carries too much tackle. He won’t leave home with the Z-Man Neg rig. He enjoys throwing a Keitech, a Yamamoto Hula and a jig. His preferred jig is his own brand from when he sold handmade jigs internationally.
