I am a working-class guy – a down-to-earth guy. I love to fish, I work a real job and I have a family at home, so I have to balance the whole spectrum. I love to talk fishing. It is exciting to have the first shot to get the APEX series off the ground.

Behind the Angler

Travis grew up fishing with his family – his grandfather, his uncle, and his mom. His grandfather’s trips to the Delta focused on striper and sturgeon; but when the conditions weren’t conducive, Travis would get to venture to the local lakes to target bass. In 2006, a friend convinced him to give tournaments a shot and the rest is history.

In the Boat

Travis’ go-to’s have changed over the years and currently he is comfortable with finesse fishing. His lure lockers are stuffed with Gary Yamamoto Custom Baits Flappin’ Hogs and Senkos, River2Sea S-Wavers, Zoom Trick Worms and Keitech USA swimbaits. His rod lockers hold several Phenix M1 rods for power fishing and Phenix Feather Series rods for finesse presentations.
